There has been a lot of hoopla and outcry about a photograph that made the rounds recently showing unyielding showbiz newsmaker, Charly Boy, and his younger alter ego, On-Air-Personality, Denrele Edun, kissing. Instead of putting curious and agitated minds to rest that it was all make-belief, a mere photo-shoot, the duo is laughing at the concomitant tailspin and foolhardiness of those who couldn‘t see beyond the act.
To further send tongues wagging, Charly Boy was quoted as saying that there is indeed ‘chemistry‘ between him and Denrele while the younger man has carried on like heavens may fall. We should have known better than to bother about this duo.
For the past almost two decades, Charly Boy has done everything to remain in the news. He has been a transvestite, actor, activist, singer, columnist, author, television talk show host and more recently, publisher.
He has posed nude. He has done it all. In the end, we never stop talking about him. Can‘t we all see that exactly is his motive? Pretending to kiss a willing younger man who has similar views and eccentricities is just another obvious way for us to talk. And the showman is listening with a smile-wide grin.
