Flour Mills donates to varsity


Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc has donated the sum of N5m to Wesley University of Science and Technology, Ondo to support the development of the institution.

The company‘s Group Managing Director, Chief Emmanuel Ukpabi, said the gesture was in demonstration of its commitment to giving back to the society.

Speaking at a thanksgiving service held at the Methodist Church, Ikate, Surulere, to mark the company’s 50th anniversary, Ukpabi also announced the donation of a 100KVA diesel generator to the church.

In his sermon, the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Dr. Sunday Makinde, commended the company for putting God first by coming to the church to give thanks.

He noted that many companies which started operation with Flour Mills had folded up, and therefore, called on the government to provide the enabling environment to help the manufacturing sector grow.
