ANPP plots victory in 2011

All Nigeria People’s Party on Wednesday charged its National Assembly members to evolve ways of ensuring that the party got majority seats in the 2011 general elections.

The ANPP National Chairman, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, who gave the charge in Abuja during a meeting with the lawmakers, urged them to reach out to as many people as possible across the country to ensure the party’s victory.

Onu said that they should identify with politicians with potentials of wining elections across the country, adding that the party’s leadership would guide them in achieving such feat.

ANPP Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Senator Ali Ndume, told the party leadership that they were determined to offer constructive opposition.

He, however, noted that the entire country was waiting on the ANPP with great expectation to deliver democracy dividends to the people.

He also noted that since the inception of the party’s present leadership, that things had started looking up.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that ANPP as a minority group in the House of Representatives has a total of 42 members.
