Former Governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, has sued for peace in the Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Nwobodo stated this in a statement signed by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Geo Uguru, and made avialiable to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.
He expressed concern that the crisis brewing within the party in the state would affect its fortunes in 2011 if not “nipped in the bud.”
He pledged to wade into the crisis soon with a view to reconciling the parties in dispute.
“I am worried by this development coming now in the run up to the general election.
“I want to appeal to all the factions in the crisis to sheathe their swords,” he said.
