Tips For Managing Natural Hair

SEVERAL women are putting aside the routine of chemical touch ups and repeated use of extensions in favour of the natural look.
It is now normal to find women sporting very low haircuts, some crew cuts are so low, that one wonders whether the person walking ahead is a man or woman, until you draw level and find that it’s a woman. This often occurs with women who love the androgyny they acquire from wearing denim top to toe or wearing dark work suits.
The natural look is also found with women who are grooming Afros or who wear dreadlocks. Some others tend to keep their hair hidden under braids and woven rows.
However they choose to wear it, natural hair has its advantages and disadvantages, which make it an ideal choice for some and a no-no for others.
For one thing, natural hair is kinky and occasionally very coarse. As such it demands lots of care. For instance, wet hair should never be combed. Rather do the combing when you condition and then blot the wet hair afterwards to remove excess water.
