Sports, education must go pari pasu, says Kienka

FROM 1972 to 1987, Godwin Kienka ruled tennis in Rivers, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos states and became Nigeria’s number five player, just as he represented Nigeria at the Africa University Games in Nairobi, Kenya, where he made the last four of the championships. Interestingly, Kienka, whose life revolves round tennis, did not start off with or keep only to the game, but was also versatile in sports like volleyball, basketball, athletics and football, even making the Okrika Grammar School football team.
