NDDC pledges sustenance of golf talent search

THE Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has pledged that it would ensure the sustenance of the newly introduced Niger Delta Regional “Tiger” Hunt competition, which recently ended at the Air Assault Golf Club, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Over 200 kids from the nine NDDC states took part in the maiden edition of the developmental programme meant to unearth golfing talents within the agency’s operational areas.

NDDC’s Director of Sports, Dr. Princewill Ekanem, who represented the Managing Director, Chibuzor Ugwuoha, at the rounding off of the programme at Air Assault Golf Club recently, expressed his outfit’s delight at the turnout of youths as well as the popularity the game was assuming in the area.

He stressed that in future, NDDC would partner relevant bodies and organisations that have the capacity to fashion out ways of sustaining the event and the players discovered.
