To make good her word, as we reported exclusively to you in July, MTV’s only Nigerian VJ, Cynthia Cvon Okpala, has tied the knot officially with her 34 year old lover, Ozoemena Mbanefo, last Saturday in Lagos.
The quiet wedding which took place at the Sheraton hotel and was attended by a handful of close friends and family was officiated by Pastor Ben Kpongo; a Minister from the Dominion City Church, Lagos, where the couple met and worship.
The pair were engaged on the 12th of June this year and got married Saturday, 23rd November, three days before Cynthia’s 25th birthday.
By Wednesday, when news of her wedding broke on line, messages poured in torrents on the VJ’s wall even though she her Facebook name still read Cynthia Cvon Okpala and her relationship status was blank. The only line that would have served as clue had been changed. And that was her status which stayed on till Tuesday (her birthday) but changed on Wednesday. It read “1 + 1 = 1″.
