Air Nigeria in training partnership with naval college

Air Nigeria has restated its commitment to training and manpower development in the aviation industry through a Cadet Pilot and Aircraft Engineering training partnership with the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria, Kaduna State. This will periodically churn out competent personnel required to fill the vacuum in the industry as a result of dearth of professionals.
Kinfe Kahssaye, chief executive officer, reiterated the airline’s commitment when a team from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria, paid him a courtesy call to review the terms of the partnership.
Mr. Kahssaye said that the partnership is a landmark for an effective succession channel of the airline through which a crop of younger generation of competent and well groomed professionals will be raised to bridge the age gap in the industry.
He further noted that Air Nigeria, as a socially responsible company, is committed to investing in the industry’s future, as part of its efforts to positively nurture and position indigenous manpower to assume positions of authority in the airline and the industry at large.
Captain Bisi Idris, the head of Flight Training of the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, stated that the college curriculum is up to date with international standards, and that graduates of the institution have over time measured up to their peers trained elsewhere.
