Tourism development will curb unemployment – Aregbesola

Osun State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola, has said that his administration will reduce the high incidence of unemployment in the state through the development of the tourism sector.

The governor spoke at the palace of the Owa of Ijeshaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, on Saturday during the celebration of the annual Iwude festival.

According to the governor, the exploration of the vast tourism potential of Osun State is capable of turning around the fortunes of the 19-year-old state.

Aregbesola added that the Yoruba language and culture were veritable avenues of creating linkages between the state and the international community.

He said, “We have put our hands on the plough and we will not look back. Osun has cultural potential that must be tapped to the benefit of all and sundry. Osun will grow in the coming weeks because a holistic approach to development will unfold very soon.”
