CIPMN gets new director

 CHARTERED Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) has appointed Mr. Olusola Abimbola Joseph, as its new director, Membership Development.
Joseph specialises and is widely consulted in areas such as Strategic Human Resources Management, Performance Management, Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, Balanced Scorecard and Teambuilding Techniques. He commands leadership skills and good communication skills both in writing as well as oral.
Prior to joining the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria as director of Membership Development, he has deployed these management tools in achieving corporate organisation objectives in various organisations as assistant director, Human Resources & Admin, Monarch Communications Ltd, general manager/head, Human Resources, SGS Inspection Services Nigeria Ltd, Lagos Nigeria, affiliate of SGS Group, Geneva, Switzerland.
He was also GH/head, Manpower, Training & Development, John Holt Plc (affiliate of John Holt, Liverpool, UK) Lagos Nigeria, Africa, head, Human Resources, NBM Bank (affiliate of Belgolase Bank of Brussels, member of Fortis Group, Belgium), Lagos, Nigeria, head, Human Resources, Devcom Bank Ltd, Lagos Nigeria and senior bank executive/deputy head, Human Resources, Equity Bank of Nigeria (formerly Meridian Equity Bank, member of Meridien Int’l Bank London, BIAO), now a member/subsidiary of Intercontinental Bank Group.
Joseph has a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from University of Lagos in 1991 and was adjudged the best student in ‘Corporate Manpower Planning’. He is a full member (MCIPM, 2005) of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN) and has served for two terms as a member of Membership Committee and Training & Special Programmes (now Learning & Development) Committees of the institute. He is also a member as well as faculty member of the Institute of Planning (IPN). He has equally attended and facilitated various local and offshore leadership and management training programmes in the UK, Ghana and Egypt.
Joseph holds certificates such as BA, PGD, IRPM and MCIPM in addition to his M.SC.
