Bayelsa condemns attack on Alaibe’s home

Special Adviser to the President on the Niger Delta, Mr. Timi Alaibe

The Bayelsa State Government has condemned the attack on the home of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Timi Alaibe.

Deputy Governor, Chief Werinipre Seibarugu, described the attack as a sad moment for the state because the perpetrators were certainly living among the people.
Seibrugu spoke on Saturday during his inspection of Alaibe’s home in Akaibiri in Kolokuma-Opokuma Local Government Area of the state.
The deputy governor called on security agencies to look into the matter with all seriousness in order to check the dangerous trend.“The most important thing is to blame our people and not security agents. Our people must stop it. This is the area we should address. One is very weak to see this type of thing. It is barbaric. We condemn the act. It is irresponsible and wicked. On behalf of the governor, I say this trend is not good for our state. I cannot describe the action whether they came to assassinate somebody or not,” he said.
